Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is offering an Honor’s Degree Program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI ML) under Mumbai University from academic year 2022-2023.

Program Educational Objectives PEOs :

  • EXTC PEO 1 :To develop ability to demonstrate core concepts of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and be technically efficient to solve overall multidisciplinary engineering problems.
  • EXTC PEO 2 : To promote entrepreneurship culture by engaging in research and development activities and build skilled industry-ready graduates.
  • EXTC PEO 3 : To nurture interpersonal skills and inculcate professionalism, teamwork, leadership qualities and ethical values among students for overall sustainable development of the society.

Programme Specific Outcomes PSOs : Graduates will be able

  • EXTC PSO 1 :Students will be able to apply the skills and knowledge acquired in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering to build real life applications and design solution driven systems.
  • EXTC PSO 2 : Students will be able to address the societal challenges by using open-source as well as professional tools.

Departmental Program outcomes (POs) Engineering Graduates will be able to:

  1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solutions : Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. Conduct investigations of complex problems : Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions for complex problems.
  5. Modern tool usage : Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

  7. Environment and sustainability : Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  8. Ethics : Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

Welcome to the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering at Atharva College of Engineering (ACE), Mumbai. The department is located in a capacious environment with state of art facilities & highly qualified faculty. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is an ever evolving field that has benefitted the progress of society.  It is a diverse field of engineering connecting to Electronics, Electrical, Wireless Communication, Satellite Communication, Computer Communication, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, VLSI along with recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & varied fields, as a result, the department is one of the pioneering departments of Atharva College of Engineering since its inception.

In the 21st Century, the Electronics & Telecommunication Industry has made a tremendous impact on our lives. Electronic gadgets & Telecommunications have become an integral part of our lifestyle. In today’s fast-changing world, a new generation of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers needs to be developed to provide environment friendly solutions to the challenges faced due to limited resources. The department has a dedicated faculty to develop all round Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering graduates with highly professional & Ethical values & promoting sustainable development ecosystem. The department works with the objective of addressing the challenges faced by the Academia, Industry & the Society. The department has well equipped laboratories to train students in the recent technological advancements & promotes a healthy startup ecosystem.The department endeavors to create a conducive for the students to flourish and aid them in their overall growth, making them ready to be successful and competent in the real world.
